what should we get our health care aides for Christmas

being some of the hardest working people at a selfless job maybe a small gift box of chocolates something to show our appreciation what do you think any ideas

No matter what you get them they will appreciate it. However depending on how big the crew is you may need to get a few boxes.

Tim horton's gift card, enough that everyone can enjoy a drink or snack....that's what people usually do for the staff in er

Thanks for acknowledging us EAs! We appreciate anything, but a carafe of McDonald’s coffee sure wouldn’t be wasted in our group! A box of chocolates to share, chips and dip, any food in general lol. If gifts are what you’re looking to buy, gift cards are awesome! Thoughtful homemade gifts are cool too! I’ve gotten a Christmas ornament made by the student with the child’s name on it, which was adorable.

I didn’t read that very well!! I just saw aides and thought it was educational assistants the op was talking about. Oops!!

Make sure to tell the staff it is for HCAs

Because, in my 13 years career as a HCA I've noticed that our nurses keep the nicest gifts for themselves and they pass to us the ones that 'they think' we should have.
And thanks for thinking about us.

but typical of nurses who think that they are of a different 'class' than the health care aides. What would the LPNs and RNs do without their aides? Especially the nurses that don't want to wipe a bum? That to me is all part of nursing care and all classes should be performing the same duties!

sad aint it anyways thanks for some suggestions i think i will take coffee up on xmas eve for them tks all that had advise

Most that work in that field are special human beings for being so caring......
