She: 37/white/elementary teacher/pretty woman  
 
I: 32/brown/professional/smart man, not when it comes to women I guess  
 
We: Texted for a week, spoke once over phone and decided to meet for dinner  
 
And, this is how it went:  
 
I asked her whether she's Ariel (name changed, but still fictional character name) like the princess Ariel and she said she's not the slu_ _y princess.  
 
I asked her to checkout my car (as I got a funny licence plate) and she said no, that's where the serial killers take advantage of their victims.  
 
I asked her to sing a song and she said no, as she's not a monkey and I'm not her trainer.  
 
Any advise for the next meetup? Please...

I agree, she's already freaked out so I would ignore that and take a break to allow for planning execution of a more feasible plan. Whooooa, look at me bein' all reasonable and sh*t.

She sounds awful serious and on defense, and maybe her past history gives her reason. If she has agreed to a second date maybe let her make all the plans and initiate conversation. Sounds like you will have to get to know her much better. When people are suspicious of other people things like compliments and even humor are sometimes not appreciated.  
I'm not sure if a dinner date is what I would do, maybe more like a coffee date where you could ask the simple question "so, tell me about your life", if a person can't or won't share their past, it will likely cause issues in the future, or in your case, right now.

I agree with this. It doesnt sound like it went that well. First you call a grown woman a princess, and then ask her to leave the public place she felt comfortable meeting you at, then you what? wanted her to perform for you? If there is a next time, stick to neutral tried and tested date discussion topics.

Just curious...why did you ask her to sing a song? I feel like I would find that strange if someone asked me to sing a song for them on a first date lol.

I hope she paid for her own meal got in her own car and blocked at calls/texts etc from you. It sounds like you need your A- kicked to the curb.

He sounds like a real moron - I would have just left after the first inappropriate question/request was made. Gosh - I will stay ++Single forever, and feel perfectly OK with it - who needs these kind of losers? Give it a rest OP. . .

hmm was her name jasmine? only so many princesses haha anyways she's probably heard that line her whole life, especially if she works with kids!  
 
I don't know many grown women who would be impressed by seeing a car, or would want to randomly sing? treat women with respect and move on if they're just not that into you.

My bf got me because he was goofy like this. Of course I do not have a princess name (totally normal name boo), but I would not take offence by the questions.  
 
Clearly the OP was probably nervous and just asking things that popped into his head. We have all been there (and if you deny that you are a liar)  
 
I say try a second date, but save the goofyness for later if it did not work on the first date.

*) Princess reference - I just wanted to know how to pronounce her name correctly. Is it like princess A(real) or A(ryle)? So, I never really thought I'm like insulting a grown woman. It's just that English isn't my first language and I still suck at it.  
 
*) Sing a song - The conversations were getting very serious/awkward and thought of trying something different. Since she's a music teacher, I asked for a song. But when she asked me to sing, I did serenade her. Did it sound at least decent - nope. Did it embarrass - hell yeah. Did it lighten the situation a bit - totally.  
 
*) Car show - Trust me, my licence plate is really funny and since it was parked on the street right in front of the restaurant, I thought it was cool to show her and apparently, my pathetic attempt to make the situation get better. I just finished reading the 12-page victim statement from Stanford rape case, so I get that women can never be too safe.
