What does it mean if your exboyfriend texts after three months of being broken up....and the relationship was a farce and he was a...as a polite way to put it... complete dipshit of a player???  
 
First relationship experience, so this part of the aftermath is apparently the next step......

He either genuinely misses you, or he's hit a lull in all the fun he's having with others. Given how you've described him id guess the latter. But whatever you decide, dont make your decision based on your loneliness.

I don't know how I feel.  
 
I crushed hard on him, and first relationships apparently leave a lasting mark on one. I feel like he stole that in a way.  
 
He's trying to be nice but I honestly don't know how much he really cares or how much I can trust him.I don't think he's had any other partners, I think he just wants friends. Am I up for that with him? Not sure either, very confused suddenly. I thought I had left him in the past. On the other hand, I have an opportunity to show him the fabulous bad ass he has missed out on.....  
 
Wish my counseling sessions hadn't been pushed back, and group therapy doesn't resume until fall.

It means that he's still a player but his life right now is less than satisfying, likely in more ways than one, so he's backtracking...and is likely using you until his social life picks up again or until he gets bored with you again.  
 
Cut your losses. Block his number. Forget his name. Remember he was a complete dipshit of a player JUST 3 short months ago. Dipshits don't change the colour of their dip in 3 months.  
 
Move on. Right now.

run away I knew a player ... once player is always a player and a liar is always a liar. He blocked his phone number so the girlfriend will not know he contacted me in January. She probably thinks he changed .... no well not him anyway so turn around and forget about him, players aren't worth it you will only get hurt again and again. Hard to do but in few months you will forget more about it and feel better.

Remember that the past is the past for a reason. There is a reason why things didn't work out - and I'm sure if you stuck around long enough those reasons would still be here. My guess is that he's bored, lonely, and needing someone to string along with for the ride. The only person I can see getting hurt again in the end is you. Be careful.

I''d simply block his number...even if he claims that he wanted to be friends, with his history, friends don''t treat people like that. Leave him in the past. Move on, no matter how cute he may be. Know your worth!

He is between relationship and is needing a piece of tail. I am sure you are not the only one he has contacted saying he misses them and all that lovey dovey crap. Lol.

Please don't let him jeopardize any more of your time. Then he'll think that you're a doormat and treat you as such. Been there. Then when he hears you miss him too he knows he's got you and he's won the game and move on to another. Don't have contact with him. Best advice I wish someone would have told me before I made a fool of myself that I can't take back, shaming myself in the process. He made me look and feel so stupid by letting my guard down and admitting I still cared. That's all he wanted. If it's not sex, its satisfaction that you still care that he likely wants.

In my humble experience, STAY AWAY FROM HIM. There are a lot of "energy vampires" out there. He's only trying to reel you back in so he can torture you again.  
Don't let him.  
Go NO CONTACT. NOT EVEN AS FRIENDS.

block him ! he's an Ex for a reason - you deserve better  
as a Counsellor, this is my professional advice.  
 
journal your feelings but do not Allow him back in your life, it will only create more confusion .

if you do not want be keep getting hurt turn around and do not look back you will heal faster and never regret it he does not care if he was crappy with you before he will still be a crappy guy coming back.  
So far every one told you to run away.

someone the exact opposite to what this dickhead is...if you want a relationship! the type of guy you are falling for will all be the same...im a guy I know lots of guys like him...

Not easy finding my "type" of guy in Brandon.  
 
I'm not handling his return all that well...falling apart actually. So I''m taking everyone's advice and walking away. I'd give anything to make this easier, even more to be a stronger person......

I am not a player, never have been. still with same woman going on 32 yrs. I have seen lots of players both young and old. this is just a joy stealer both now and in the future. You have received good advice walk no run away. You deserve better and don't accept anything less than one who will respect and treat you well from day one. to all young women accept NOTHING LESS. Do not give permission to be treated less, really think about it... why would you. you are better than that and believe it and they will too! I want my granddaughters to look to you as role models as well. set the bar high!!!!!we as males can live up to it if and if you make us or place this as an expectation. good luck.
