"Investigation" WIS

I don't like workplace bullies or anyone being harassed or mistreated at work. I think the BOD should think long and hard before they make their decisions. Their decisions should be based on fact and not just who the person is. Anyone can be a bully.
Is it right that the victims are having to meet with someone (they don't know who) at the WIS building? Isn't that a little intimidating? I think meetings should be held off site. If these accusers have been mistreated, putting them back in the building is revictimizing them.
Do the accusers have a lawyer or someone helping them through this ordeal?
This issue doesn't shine a nice light on the Westman Immigration Service or Brandon.
Workplace bullying and harassment needs to be stopped, period. If the bullying is being done by a superior, employees don't have very many avenues to go down and still keep their jobs.
Can anyone tell me who is on the board and is there an organizational chart for WIS? I can't find this information on their website. Thanks. " |

It is odd that employees would be expected to go to WIS to speak with the "investigator" who they don''t know. If it is independent, it is also odd that WIS is arranging the appointments - or that is what I understand from the article. Meetings should be held off site.
Hopefully, others who have experienced workplace harassment/bullying elsewhere will feel more empowered to speak out.
This case will undoubtedly be significant to other organizations - particularly those who have also failed to adequately address similar concerns.
