I'm looking for some hair advice.  
 
I have very dark hair and am getting quite a bit of white growing in. I've had some white for a while, but now it's getting fairly noticeable. The problem I face is that I'm in my 30s and have never, ever coloured my hair so I'm super scared to do it!  
 
I've asked my hairdresser for advice on what I should do - colour everything, lowlights, highlights - and she has basically said that whatever I chose will work well. I want something that will look natural, won't need to be re-done super often, and will hide the white at least a bit (or have the white blend in more).  
 
I know that I can always do something else if I decide I don't like it, but since it's my first time, I don't want to absolutely hate it and then never want to do it again.  
 
Suggestions? Advice?

Lowlights in multi tones to blend in some of the whites. Highlights will make it lighter and is harder on the hair because of bleaching agents.  
Lowlights will also allow you more time between touch-ups and will not feel drastic as hightlights will.  
Eventually you may want to play with highlights and fun colours, but if you are new to this, I recommend lowlights to multi-tone the white into various shades of honey and browns. Maybe even a touch of mahogany and auburn.

I have had white hairs since I was in my 20’s! I color one solid color usually brown every 12 weeks. My hairdresser sells a mascara type thing that she puts in the hair at the roots just to cover any whites showing between color.

Geez I’m so lucky no white yet !! Cross my fingers!! Lot of women are going white I think it looks fabulous!
