I was recently in Halifax and had the opportunity to attend the International Royal Military Tattoo. I had no idea what I was in for and was not too excited about the whole deal - UNTIL I got there. I was totally blown away. Two and half hours of non-stop entertainment.  
 
I posted some pictures that just do not do it justice but hopefully gives an idea of what they are about.  
 
I know there is a Military Tattoo scheduled for Brandon in August and would recommend you go! It won't be as grand as scale as Halifax but if you have no idea what one is, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I sure was
