I’m wondering what is a typical price for children’s/ baby clothes at a garage sale? I haven’t been to one in years and will be having one this summer with lots of kids clothes (mostly from carters and children’s place). Wanting to do a something like $1 a piece, what have you seen while garage sailing?

That sounds pretty good. People will sometimes do stuff a grocery bag for 5 or 10 dollars depending on the condition of clothes and how badly they just want them gone too.

I charge 25 and 50 cents a piece.

What is reasonable for lesser know fictional hardcover books?

I like buying baby clothes for 25c to 50c, $1 if they’re really good. And probably $1-$3 for bigger kids clothing. I usually don’t spend more than $5 on an item. I try to buy things that are under $5 lol but that’s just me.

Just donate everything! People are SO cheap they cant recognize quality stuff and what you think is a song is too much $$ for them. I would rather donate it to a good cause than sell it for an insulting amount. I never put on garage sales to make a large profit just to get rid of stuff. Can’t be bothered now for all the work set up and pricing, dealing with early birds, low bidders and if you can imagine people who steal from a garage sale all to make a measly $200! Some organizations come pick up donations for free so that’s how I go about things now!

Thanks for the replies. I think I’ll start with $1 a piece than do a bag sale near the end. Will donate whatever’s left at the end so I don’t have to haul it all back home. Never done a garage sale before but need to clear out lots of kids stuff and put the money towards a road trip this summer!
