I hear a complaint every summer, goes sort of like this, "Don where's your shoes".  
Having grandchildren around is great, they get to ask, if grandpa doesn't have to wear shoes why do we. Doesn't really matter if the parents hate you, as long as the grand kids love you, even if you are different.  
There are no bad seasons, only the odd bad day.

I tell newcomers that one of our provincial past times in Manitoba is complaining about the weather!

From Environment Canada on TV right now. Wouldn't mind it so much if they could at least pronounce the names of the towns.  
And there are so many, why don't they just say most of Manitoba is under a thunderstorm watch......

Why do we complain about weather so much ? There's not much we can do about it other than grin and bear it. Look at other countries that are having so many other horrors happening , all the wars overseas , the volcano in Hawaii, the tornados south of here .Maybe we should count our blessings as Canadians , and try to do something useful.

Winter / season complaints (not my complaints but what I hear and read on e-Brandon)  
 
-Christmas lights up too early  
-Christmas music too early/ too loud  
-Christmas lights up too long after the holiday  
-Not enough hot chocolate at the Santa Claus parade  
-Too cold  
-School busses not running / Schools open or should be closed  
-kids should be walking to school in cold or should be driven  
-too much sand on the road / not enough  
-walkways/roadways not cleared  
-graters running on clean streets  
-winter parking bans/cars being towed or ticketed  
-not enough snow for skiing / sledding  
-nothing to do  
 
The list goes on....yup..as many in winter as there are in summer.
