Acclimitizing to heat

Any newcomers to the area know how long it takes to acclimate to the weather here. originally from north very different weather then from here. so I’m trying to find ways to not sweat just thinking lmao

dry heat is nice but all that humidity is gross! I don't think a person can get used to it. To cool off you can put cold cloths on the back of your neck.

I've lived in this part of Manitoba all my life and I hate to say it never stops. When it gets this hot I prefer to stay inside...or be by water where I can take a dip

this may sound weird but to keep body crevices dry I rub cornstarch example under boobs to keep dry. I find it helps .

We average about 11 days a year that go above 30C. We can expect that to double in the next few decades and by the time our children are retired and complaining about the heat we will probably see 30C almost every day of the summer. Welcome to a warmer globe.

The humidity is bad this year compared to most years but it's nowhere near as bad out in Montreal-Quebec City area. I'd be drenched in sweat the moment I went from an air conditioned building to outdoors. I asked the locals how they dealt with it: Unfortunately there's no way to really deal with it, aside from dressing with lighter coloured fabrics

Freezable ice pads and stock up on freezies!

I don't remember it not being humid here in the summers? People who aren't from here don't understand how our temperature can be 29C but the humidex makes it feel like 35C.

Once staying in a Montreal hotel it was nice in the building comfortable clothes just hanging as usual one step out the doors though and it was like going to a dry cleaner instant press on shirt lmao never seen anything like it
