What part of Manitoba did they come to, maybe they appear in one of the local history books?

Would you be willing to actually post their names and details of where they came from, have you done a web search on the names?
The local Church of Latter Day Saints (FamilySearch), has access to millions of records in Salt Lake City and are always willing to assist without obligation.

I was aware that some came via the US but I dismissed it as I'm pretty sure that wasn't the case there. But it's worth a shot!
They settled east of the prime meridian in the Gull Lake area, but I can't find anything in the local area about them except the original land patent and his grave.
They came from the Galacia area, which is right at the nexus of Ukraine/Poland/Austro-Hungarian Empire. Hundreds of thousands of people emigrated from that region.
I'm hesitant to utilize any information help by the LDS church due to what they due to how their utilize the information.
