There seems to be a lot of men's clothing tailors in town, and I'm not sure that they'd accept doing an alteration for women's clothes. Several of the businesses that I've found on older threads don't seem to be open anymore.  
 
I have a pair of pants that I need the waist brought in on. Usually I would try altering them myself but since they're a nice pair of pants and the alteration is more substantial I would like a more professional finish.

Phone the bridal shops and ask who their seamstress is. Most will do outside work.
