If I was resorting to meet new people, I would most definitely volunteer. Everyone need a volunteers. Hospitals, care homes (if you can sing or something the seniors like), horse shows, fairs, ymca I think has volunteers too.. so many things to do, I’m sure you can find something, and inevitably meet people. That is what I would do…. Also just go engage in things you like. I personally would like to learn how to play guitar better…If I had the time , I’d learn good enough to be able to sit on a street corner (or park) and just play for passersby’s. There is so many options out there! I wish I had the time myself to do more ! You’re lucky you do!
