Why is it that fuel prices on the north hill (hwy) are all running around 115.9 ish, and in town it it around 127.9, even under the same brands, imo opinion that is just gouging. Granted you have a choice and yes I do go to the hwy to not get ripped off, 60 litres saves you about $7 on a fill and if you driving a truck that takes 135 litres your are looking close to $15. Of course until you can convince everyone to avoid the in town stations the gouging will likely continue. . . . .

Beacuse those gas stations belong to the native people and they dont have top pay taxes so they can charge a lower price, I still dont know why all people dont fill up with them, why would you pay more when you can save some money?

The Petro, Esso, Shell are also lower whereas their in town counterparts are charging much more.

The nearby competition is probably making them keep their prices lower. It's a similar idea in Winnipeg near Costco or other cheap places.

I went to Falcon on Saturday and paid 115.5/l instead of 127.9 at Co-op. I normally always get my gas at Co-op but I just can't afford to save money where I can. The gas attendant was visibly cold but was very polite. The cashier inside was also very friendly and the store is clean. I'll be back!

Falcon fuel is always my favourite too.

Check out the prices along PTH 1 whether Esso, Petro Canada etc. there all 12cents a litre cheaper than in Brandon. The real problem is that most people cannot associate per litre against per gallon. 12cents a litre works out to be 54cents a gallon. so for a minimum 45 litres which is 10 gallons the guys in the city rip us off for an extra $5.40 cents and so it just seems people cant get that through their heads. Yes drive a 1/2 ton truck taking 30 gallons or 135 litres they just pay the extra$15.20. Why people complain about there taxes going up $150 on there house and yet fill that truck 30 times a year and dont mind paying the $462 extra per year is mind boggling. If we all went up and filled up on the highway for a month you would see them become more competitive.

I traded my for F-150 (139L tank) for a 3 cylinder car (40L tank) and I buy my gas at Waywayseecappo for the savings. Best decision I ever made!  
 
On top of that, I was commuting to Brandon from Wawanesa, my fuel bill was about $500/month with that dang truck. Now I live in Brandon and I have to put $50 of gas in my car about every 2 weeks.

I always buy my gas at Superstore. Using my PC Optimum card and my PC Mastercard i get 12 cents per liter in PC points towards my grocery purchases. Which right now works out to $1.159/liter , but, when gas prices are more the same on the North hill and in the city i am really saving!! Don't understand why everyone doesn't buy there, always.

trying to understand gas prices. They make ZERO sense anymore. To me, it's like they put prices on a spinning wheel and use it to determine prices. Oil is $65, yet gas prices are like when it was $120. It's become more about oil company profit margins I'm sure. Have to make sure the CEO's and stockholders make money to enjoy their luxury items (private jets, yachts, mansions).
