To be more specific.....a house across the street from my Mother's home in Wpg, was recently purchased for $140,000 and subsequently gutted completely, including new windows and doors, reroofed, as well as a new complete foundation/basement. The house was purchased by a foundation contracting company and they are apparently now selling the remodeled home to the gov't for $220,000. I don't even understand how it would possibly be worth that much when all the other houses in the area are not even close to that price, but I digress. This house is apparently slated to have Haitian immigrants (it really doesn't matter what nationality nor the fact they are immigrants either) move in soon. I wanted to know how this situation works. Will they own the home? Will they be renting it? Does anyone know the process or has anyone here been through the process? I don't want to assume anything.
