Since there as been a few threads lately about jobs and housing, I thought about how hard it was a few short years ago to find a job in Brandon, so how did you find yours?  
 
I worked at CDC Home and Leisure, it went bankrupt, so I had a waiting period for EI and lost wages from the bankrupcy. I went out every morning, one day the banks, one day other businesses, etc., and collected applications. Went home had lunch, filled them all out and returned them all in the afternoon. Eventually I was at the right place at the right time, and was hired on at Behlen were I have been employed for 18 years. I got one full EI check in that whole time. Looking for work back then was certainly harder than working.
