i'll spare the details and cut to the main point.  
 
my roommates is a drunk, 12 a night every night. he has a t.v from easyhome he pays 200$ a month for 36 months retail its 1200$. the guy is 36 yrs old makes 12$ an hour somewhere and puts in lots of overtime. he makes on average close to 2g a month. he doesn't do the dishes, doesn't clean just plays his 360 online all the time. he is behind on his share of the rent, the cable phone and internet are in his name(he was here first). he is behind on cable so they have cut it off, they cut it down to 20 channels then cut it completely. the internet will be gone soon to i fear.  
 
so since we have no cable, he doesn't really care b/c he plays his games(he does watch hockey and fishing channel). i figured it would only be fair if i took his xbox live away from him. my g/f and i cant watch t.v, we loved the movie channels all we watch plus Simpson's family guy 2 1/2 men yadda yadda. i couldn't figure out how to go about this, the router doesn't have any settings that i can block his 360 from getting online, so i came to the idea of putting the router in my room and connecting it. i still wanted to be able to use the net but cut him off. my laptop is wireless and my ps3 has a built in wireless adaptor, something the 360 doesn't have(hahahahaha). i told him the router screwed up and i sent it away to get fixed. i'm going to bring it back down stairs when we get the cable back. he told me that we would have cable back his last pay day, it's been almost two months now with out cable.  
 
my g/f's parents are buying an apt building in brandon so we will be moving out sometime soon. he can't barely afford to live now, how will he do it when we are gone? i could really care less so please dont answer that question! because we are moving out soon is the reason i wont confront him and make a big deal out of it b/c it's not worth it, he will still be a drunk either way.  
 
so if you were in my spot would you have done the same? or am i just being an arse?(i could understand if he couldn't afford it b/c of some legit reason, but not b/c he drinks/smokes his face off)  
 
it's 535 inclusive, plus phone(40$) internet(was bundled with the 360 so it's 75$ a month) cable(60$) and dishwasher(50). i give him 270 for rent, plus 20 for phone 20 for cable 25 for dishwasher and 20 for internet(it's his 360). i stopped giving him the money b/c he was drinking it away and still not paying his bills so i just put the money on the bills myself.  
 
this is probably more venting then anything, he has been gone for the last 4 days, it's been so nice having the house to ourselves! i can't wait for her parents to buy this apt building so we can move. there is next to nothing for decent apt in brandon, this place we are going to look at today is newly renovated so everything is brand new, it will be a nice change from the dump we live in now!  
 
you dont even have to reply to this but it feels nice to get that off my chest, 3 years of this schnoozlemonkey. only reason we are still here is b/c the rent is cheap and it's allowed us to get ahead and buy some nice toys for ourselves!
