I have been afraid of hair stylists for a while now (+5 yrs). Seems silly but honestly I get nervous, get a stomach ache, sweat and dread having to go.  
 
Oh course we have all had those childhood cuts we aren't proud of or bangs trimmed too short, but this is different.  
 
I postpone a cut/style for as long as I can. If anything I would keep my hair in a ponytail at all times.  
 
I think a big part of it is that I dislike the way they style it after the cut, feel totally abnormal and want to run home to shower to wash it out.  
 
I have tried several salons and never clicked with one particulr stylist. (They are polite and everything.) I just don't go every month or whatever the norm is. When I do finally call to book an appointment they have almost always changed salons or something and I am back to square one.  
 
Any suggestions? Am I just weird?  
I would rather be sitting in a dentist's chair.
