Toy department: why is it

at xmas time when you are shopping in the toy department you can never find an employee? i was at a local department store on sunday and could not find anyone when i went to another store and the same thing and when i found someone she couldnt answer my question i had to go down to the sporting goods section to find someone to answer my question geeze no wonder holiday shopping sucks
