Ann Savage, who starred in Guy Maddin's "My Winnipeg" died in her sleep on Christmas Day.
For those who have not seen the film, it is an absolute must. Anyone who has any proximity to Winnipeg will find themselvestruly engaged, whether they love the city or hate it.
Ann Savage (85 years of age at the fime of filming) puts in a masterful performance as Guy's mother. This despite Maddin's reputation as a filmmaker who does not particularly showcase his actors.
It is a must see.
