Dude has winning loto but no cash

Apparently a guy bought some lottery tickets & won (I think around $100K). But they won't give him the cash, saying there was a typo on the tickets and they are being recalled now. He's fighting saying they already sold the tickets how can they say no.
I'd be pissed, if you bring an item to the till at a store and the marked price is $5 but was suppose to be $25 you pay $5. So what's the difference?
