Newspaper Flyers and Other Mailbox "JUNK"

This is something that outrages me more and more each day.
Im getting off work I have a load of groceries in one hand and my workload in the other. I walk up to my door and the mailbox is OVERFLOWING with flyers and other junk to the point where it literally is jammed into the mail box.
Next step of this routine - empty my arms, because I know there is going to be 2 handfulls of flyers to clean up off my porch.
Next step - The Trash!!!
Who seriously reads this garbage, we need to start a patition to get rid of this crap, I can understand back in the 40's when there was no Media advertising available but Geez Guys, wake up, basically its like printing out the entire Wal-Mart, Future Shop, and Home Depot Website EVERY DAY!
Has anyone ever tried to put a stop to this in the city?
If so I will be a strong supporter of that person!!
