There's a long stupid story that goes with this, but I"ll skip it and just ask my question lol. I played some games on line and won (I thought I was just winning game credits and not actual money? go figure how they worked that out lol) Anyway, its a very small amount and was sent a statment for it (its actually from last year, but I had already done my taxes at that point) Now they did take "taxes" out of the winnings. So do I need to claim that? Its a US based company, So I"m not sure how that works? I'm not interested in trying to get tax money back from them on it, as it is a tiny amount. Just wondering how that works on my taxes? Thanks!
