mixed weather messages

Why is it that when I want to know the upcoming weather, I cannot find the same story from different sources. I check the weather network, it says one thing. I listen to the radio it says something else, and by the time the 6 o'clock news hits.... yet another prediction on the day to come. I never seem to get a straight story.
