My dog has been acting like a jerk since he got fixed....

My 7 month old Husky X puppy got neutered on Thursday. He is a big boy at 80lbs but he is generally fairly docile and lazy. A big baby. For the first couple of hours after I brought him home from the vet, he was tired but after a couple of hours rest, he was fine and started acting like a total jerk and has stayed that way since Thursday night. Lots and lots of loud in your face barking when he is not a barker normally, jumping on the kids, and though he normally chases the cats around the house in play, he went after one this morning.
What the heck?
This is not behaviour that he has ever exhibited before.
