5/22/2009 at 7:44 AM
John, age 92, and Rose, age 89, had been living in Weslaco TX, during the winter months.
On their arrival back in Brandon they are all excited about their decision to get married.
They went for a stroll to discuss the wedding plans, and on the way they pass the Super Thrifty Drug mart. John suggests they go in.
John addresses the man behind the counter: "Are you the Manager?"
The Pharmacist answers, "Yes."
John: "We're about to get married. Do you sell heart medication?"
Pharmacist: "Of course we do."
John: "How about Medicine for circulation?"
Pharmacist: "All kinds"
John: "Medicine for rheumatism?"
Pharmacist: "Definitely."
John: "How about suppositories?"
Pharmacist: "You bet!"
John: "What about Medicine for Memory problems, Arthritis and Alzheimer's?"
Pharmacist: "Yes, a very large variety. The works.”
John: "What about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, antidotes for
Parkinson's disease?"
Pharmacist: "Absolutely."
John: "Do you stock everything for Heartburn, and Indigestion?"
Pharmacist: "We sure do."
John: "So you sell Wheelchairs, Walkers and Canes?"
Pharmacist: "All speeds, and every size."
John: "How about Adult Diapers?"
Pharmacist: "Sure."
John: "We'd like to use this store as our Bridal Registry."
