I am asking for suggestions on how to rid our yard of those pesky barn swallows! We have tried everything I can think of, but the pesky, swooping, and just plain mean birds keep coming back!!!! We try and keep all our shed/barn doors closed, but then they just build their nests on the side of the barn. We knock them down, and they build them again....tenacious little buggers!  
Somedays it is so bad that I have to arm my kids with a tennis racket so they can play outside. lol!  
Seriously though, we need help to rid our yard of them. I am personally afraid of birds swooping at me, so it is not a fun thing to have to run to my car in the morning so they do not attack. I feel like we are in a bad episode of an Alfred Hitchcock show!  
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
