So I seem to be having an issue with passport information....

I'm planning my vacation for the middle of June and we're not quite sure where we are going yet but we were thinking about Valley Fair, across the boarder. I don't have my passport but we would be driving and I can't seem to find a straight answer on weither or not you need one if you are crossing while driving.
Or if you do, are there any quick alternatives I could look into?
Lucikly, West Edmonton Mall is our backup so it won't be too heartbreaking if I can't get over the boarder.
