Why is it that people in "higher positions", i.e. doctors, have double-standards?
I had to call a customer today to reschedule their appointment due to the weather (so not our fault - i.e. we didnt over-book, etc.) The customer happened to be a local doctor who was totally rude to me on the phone and proceeded to tell me how this totally inconvenienced her. (I called three hours prior to the doctor's scheduled appointment).
After assuring her I cannot control the weather and apologizing a few more times (for nothing that was our fault) she was still rude.
Why on earth is it ok for this doctor to treat me like this?
I was in this doctor's office in the past year and waited three hours PAST my scheduled appointment time to get into see the doctor -
did the doctor apologize to me for waiting three hours after my scheduled appointment? No
what about reimburse me for my lost wages? No
or did the doctor have the receptionist call me to give me a heads up that the doc was three fricken hours behind? NOPE
So why does the doctor have high expectations from any other business in town when THIS DOCTOR doesn't give us the same respect when we are in their place of business??
