Modest gift ideas for a Chemo Patient overseas?
6/28/2009 at 7:35 AM
I'm not at all creative in the gift giving department. A lady I've made friends with in the last year and keep in touch with on the phone here and there is undergoing chemo and I want to send her card and a small gift...something modest to show I am thinking about she and her family.
She's in her mid-60's, lives in Britain, enjoys retirement with her husband. We usually just talk about her health, weather, etc. so I don't know a lot about her hobbies. I know they love to travel and she spends a lot of time on the computer.
Since theres stuff in the stores right now for Canada Day I thought maybe something in that area but not cheesy or corny and I have no idea who has the best selection of Canadian stuff. who knows? She may get a kick out of Moose Droppings. I just think soemthing uniquely Canadian and a big jar of maple syrup is too hard to ship.
I dont wanna spend a fortune but something thoughtful thats easy to ship and passes international customs.
Any ideas to help my foggy brain?
