Ok, I may be a total Debbie Downer here :-)  
 
But has anyone else noticed that some people sell the strangest things in the classifieds? I mean I am all for recycling and reusing and capitalism, I get that. I also totally understand that the classifieds are like an online garage sale.  
 
My point is that for the time and effort it takes to list something and answer the inquiries in order to try and sell it for $5 or whatever, you could give it away to someone who needs it. If you have a computer and internet to list it, obviously you aren't THAT hard up for cash that $5 is going to make a difference.  
 
I mean seriously - a garbage can? A used pair of no-name shoes?  
 
I just don't get it. Someone educate me, please.
