Sometimes we seem to take joy in putting certain professions down. We continually condemn the whole profession for the few bad apples. Unfortunately depending on the job the profession is a very public on and the actions of a few will bring harm to them all.  
 
No profession is without its bad apples. If you think yours is clean then I suggest one should get their hearing check and their eye glass prescription changed. Well all have seem the actions of a few people weather on or off the job due things that are contrary to the law that rule the job or the land. We then turn around and say I will not trust X professional again. But some other professions do not receive the same scrutiny as others. Some other professions mistakes could also put peoples lives in danger but we seldom here about them.  
 
In my world of aviation we have many good pilots and operators. We also have some that choose to break the rules set forth in the regulations. It would surprise you to see what some get away with or try to. It would equally surprise you what makes the news and what the truth really is.  
 
Just because the news reports it as truth does not make it so. When the accused says no comment does not make them guilty of trying to hide something. Sure people sign up for their profession they have chosen that line of work. What they didn't sign up for is some jerk in the middle of no where breaking the rules as they see fit making the news and having their job harmed for the actions of a few.  
 
Any thoughts or am I off my rocker as usual?
