Coffee Without Cream?
8/9/2009 at 2:35 PM
Every so often, I treat myself to a store bought coffee. Today, I did not have the cream to make mine at home so, after dropping off the recycle at the Kirkcaldy Boat Launch, I went to Starbucks.
When I went to the small counter to personalize it, there was no cream. They had No-Fat, Milk and Half & Half but no real Cream. Their strong coffee NEEDS the full fat cream to mellow the flavours properly. I asked and they said they ran out six hours previously. When I questioned why they did not go to the store and get more, I received a blank stare.
I got a refund for that cup and went t6 the one in Safeway. They had plenty of cream that the other location could borrow if they made the effort to come and get it.
I have heard of some places running out of their lunch special but running out of cream in a coffee shop and not being able to acquire more? This is a combination of poor management not having ordered the proper amount of product and company policy that restricts employees from solving a problem.
Now that I ranted here, I am going to the Starbucks website and repeat this post.
