Informing the community
9/26/2009 at 10:24 AM
Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for keeping certain things from becoming public knowledge, but is there not the possibility that people in communities may be able to help law enforcement officials obtain justice? I am speaking, of course, of the recent tragedy in Clear Lake. Other than the report of the tragedy, law enforcement has not reported on any progress in the investigation....should the public not be kept informed on the off chance that someone...even remotely, might have a memory triggered that can help bring a monster to justice...or at the very least, help us to feel a little safer in our communities with knowledge being power and aren't more eyes and ears a good thing?
