Need help doing a donation
11/1/2009 at 10:05 AM
As a lot of you will already know I had a booth at the recent craft show and sale in Brandon, and at that sale I had made some wreaths of which 20% of the purchase price was to be donated to a fund for families of fallen soldiers. I had made 10 wreaths, sold 3, and I want to give one to my friend whose husband is in Afghanistan and keep one for myself ... leaving 5. I would like to find some way that I can either raffle these wreaths off or provide to families with soldiers serving presently (it is hard seeing as I only have 5 and do not have the materials to make more) ... I will give 100% of what is taken in to a military charity, preferring one for families of fallen soldiers. Do you have any ideas how I can do this?
I also have about 200 of the little gift sprigs that I intended on handing out to eBrandoners at the show and if I can use these the same way, 100% of proceeds to go to the charity, I would love to be able to do that.
Any suggestions, advice, ideas, thoughts are greatly accepted. I will post photos of one of the wreaths and of a few sprigs.
On the wreaths is a tag which states:
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS
Evergreen to forever remember our soldiers
Yellow flowers and ribbon to support our troops
Maple Leaf for Canada
Wheat heads for the prairies of Canada
Thorny seed pods – out of hardship comes growth
The white dove of peace
