Juggling Club
11/28/2009 at 5:02 PM
So I'm interested in starting a free, non-profit, juggling club here in Brandon. The focus of this club would be to promote the juggling and high end coordination arts. This would not be a class, although tips, basics, and encouragement would be available from experienced jugglers and volunteers (myself included). The focus would be intrinsic motivation rather than having an instructor take participants through each and every step. Equipment would be supplied and participants would have access to a large variety of juggling items. Devil sticks, pins, balls, contact juggling, poi, staff, meteor, etc. Simply youtube search any of those if you want to know a little more.
The question is, would the people in the city be interested? Would you attend? Would you send your kids? I would be arranging meets on a weekly or bi-weekly basis in a local gym. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Also, if there are any talented jugglers out there interested in volunteering, I would love to hear from you. I'm especially looking for someone who can juggle 5 or more objects at a time, or a contact juggler.
