Feeling Guilty For Not Pumping My Own Gas At FULL SERVE?
12/7/2009 at 7:02 PM
So I've heard through the gas jockey grapevine that customers (like myself) who pull up to a FULL SERVE pump and expect an attendant to pump their gas are frowned upon by some.
Supposedly, when I pull up to a FULL SERVE pump & a gas attendant hasn't quite made his/her way out to my vehicle yet, I am suppose to start pumping my own gas until they get there to take over, or else I'm an inconsiderate a-hole for not doing so.
I go to FULL SERVE so I don't have to pump my own gas... hence the name, FULL SERVE. I pay a little extra for the convenience of having my gas pumped at a FULL SERVE. I don't want to smell like gas so I go to a FULL SERVE. I don't want to freeze my a** off so I go to a FULL SERVE. If I wanted to smell like gas, save a litle money, & freeze my a** off, I'd go to a SELF SERVE.
Your job as a gas jockey is to pump gas, if you don't like it maybe find a different job. Don't blame me when I pull under the FULL SERVICE sign & expect just that.
