Is Pat Robertson a wing nut???

Pat Robertson is stiring up S#%! after the devastating earthquake in Haiti. The religious leader appeared on his C-B-N channel Wednesday and said that "a pact with the devil to escape French rule" caused the earthquake. He said, "You know, the Haitians revolted and got themselves free. But ever since they've been cursed by one thing after the other [and are] desperately poor."
This isn't the first time this guy has caused controversy after a tragedy. 2 days after 9-11 he and Jerry Falwell blamed "abortionists, feminists, and gays and the lesbians" for the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, D-C.
Are these guys not supposed to be in the business of "helping people"?
