Makes me wonder
2/23/2010 at 6:14 PM
I live just off number 10 highway south.
At 10 AM on Saturday {Feb 20} I left and went into town. When I got home about 3PM someone had decided that the side of the road was a great place to dump an unwanted washing machine. There's too much snow so it didn't make it to the ditch just the side of the road.
Firstly, I don't understand the logic of loading the thing up and dumping it anywhere other than the dump. The absolute lack of responsibility, on so many levels, shown by this individual blows me away.
Secondly, I'm hoping that whoever did this will feel guilty enough to return and load it up and take it to the dump. I know there's about a 2% chance of that happening but there's always hope
Thirdly. Maybe someone knows someone else who was disposing a washing machine on Saturday and maybe can embarrass them in to doing the right thing
We've done enough damage to this planet in the last 100 years. Incedents like this make me wonder if there is an appreciation for the general footprint progress has created or not.
Seeing a washing machine dropped in the middle of nowhere makes me wonder
