Housekeeping and Cleaning Genetics. Where do you stand?

I grew up in a super clean and tidy well- kept home, but I was quite messy as a kid. My room looked like a bomb had gone off. My 2 siblings were always tidy and still are to this day. Their homes are modest, but immaculate.
When I got older, I changed a lot. I loved a clean, well-organized home. My home was just like my Mama's. Well kept and organized.
Lord help me now. Back to somewhat messy. Clean, but I have too much stuff.
I'd like to get to the dynamics of how people tick with the housecleaning. How your parents raised you, what you were like as a kid and how you are now with your own schedule.
I find this so interesting, as I've known friends who grew up in a very disorganized household who turned into clean freaks and others who lived in a religiously cleaned home and are now suffering with trying to pull things together.
LOL.. Woe is me

wish I was like my Mama.
I am like the person who lets things get away on me and then I get on a roll and am a super-freak cleaning. It all feels good, but then it all goes back to clutter.
If anyone would like to discuss the genetic factor..lol of keeping a clutter free home, I am up for it.
