So let me live my life the way I want to."  
 
As long as my personal life and the things I do don't affect, interfere or endanger someone else, what right does someone have to tell me how to live my life?  
 
There are so many threads and posts on here where one person judges others and tries to tell or convince them to change their ways to their perceived "appropriate" one.  
 
Why is this? Are we all getting so arrogant that we think our personal beliefs should be forced upon everyone else?  
 
I for one want to stand up and say "BE YOURSELF! Live and let live."  
 
Should we all be Christians?  
Should we all drink Timmies?  
Should we all dislike the Liberal, Conservative or NDP parties?  
Should we all be vegans or vegetarians?  
Should we all excercise daily and eat nothing but health food?  
Should we all hate country, rap, hip-hop, or classical music?  
Should we all be in complete agreement with everything??  
Should we all drive pickup trucks?  
 
So what if others have different lifestyles, interests or beliefs than you. Does that give you the right to judge and/or ridicule them? Only if their lifestyle affects you in some manner, otherwise you have no right.  
 
I was always a rebel growing up and probably still am and have been on the receiving end of people's judgementalism many, many times. Personally, I try not to judge people by what they do and how they live, unless it affects me or someone other than the person in question.  
 
People are unique and diverse - not everyone is going to share your goals, ideals, beliefs or morals. Quit trying to convince me to change... it's not going to happen.  
 
If you have an opinion, put it forward. If you don't agree with mine then fine, explain why and I'll explain why I believe in mine. If you have an intelligent argument, I will listen to it but don't expect me to change mine just because you want me to.  
 
If you think I am wrong, then tell me why. If I think you are wrong I will tell you why.  
 
I am me and you are you... don't expect me to become you.
