Social Work/Midwife.

Is there any possible way that I can get work experience or volunteer ? to see what its like to be a social worker or midwife. Before I go back to school & decide what I want to do for a career. Id like to gain experience.
Whats your opinion?
Did you take midwifery courses or Social work courses? Whats better.
Id like to know your experience !
