Saving $$$

I am a young person. Recently out of college. First time paying rent, hydro, tv, phone bills, gas, etc.
I'm working on a relatively low income, have been putting away 20% of each paycheque. But have THE WORST habit of impulse shopping.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to save more money or how to break my bad habit!
