Accidents: What is wrong with people?

What's the deal with people in Brandon. I've been living here for about a month and through no fault of my own have been in more near accidents than in the last few years. I've been cut off in every way, I've had people go right through stop signs without looking and never knowing that I was coming toward them. I've had to slam on my brakes for several people who rode their bikes into the street without looking. An old lady even tried to PASS me in the walmart parking lot. YEAH! I know right? I had stopped for pedestrians with my signal on to turn left(I was right in front of the store turning into a lane of the parking lot)and as I start to turn she starts trying to pass me! I can't stand it here! What is wrong with the people? Almost everyday, someone almost causes an accident with me. And thats just MY experience, I cant even IMAGINE the collective driving record and stupidity of some of the people here.
