I just need to vent. I was asked to make a 6th Birthday cake for someone who was picking the cake up today. Anyway, she called me earlier in the week to let me know that the guest list was going to be smaller than expected and wondered if I could make a smaller cake. Sure, no problem. Anyway, this afternoon rolls around and she sends her mom to pick the cake up. So this not so nice woman comes to my house and immediately starts complaining about the "size" of the cake. Telling me that there is no way this cake is going to feed 15 people. Well, I am afraid to say but yes this cake would have fed 15 people without a problem. It was a two tier cake, an 8" on the bottom and a 6" on the top. There were three layers of cake in each tier with a custard filling. So there was plenty of cake. Anyway, I don't understand what this womans problem was. I made the cake exactly the same as the picture she had picked. So it wasn't that she didn't like the cake and she even commented how cute it was. So, she went on to tell me that she would send her daughter over to look at the cake and see if she still wanted it. Yup, you guessed it, no one ever showed up! How RUDE! Now I am stuck with a cake that I don't need, spent time and money to make the stupid thing only to be told it wasn't the right size. Give me a break. I will post a photo of the cake in the discussion as well to show everyone what I am talking about.  
 
Anyway, I hope the little girl did have a happy 6th birthday and I hope her family ended up supplying her with a cake of some kind.
