How do You feel about the Taxi Industry in Brandon

Im sure you have noticed the abundance of taxis rollin around the streets of Brandon. I would venture to guess there are 75-100 taxicabs out there. The industry employs hundreds of Brandon residents, from company owners to part time drivers and dispatchers all with a story to tell. From seasoned veterans of over 30 years experience, (like the "Hammer" and "Hutch" for starters)to the newest recruits (that just are'nt important yet,kidding). Sure we're just a bunch of cabbies, but some of us are proud to be cabbies and interested in doing what we can to lend a hand in improving the image and future of the industry in our fine city.
The city of Brandon has licenced 8 taxi companies and works hard to develop and maintain relations and regulation within the industry, While preserving the rights, and freedoms necesary in the healthy evolution of a safe competitive market. ( my hat goes off to them, and I hope they get a discount on Tylenol for those late night headaches)
This Isnt about Me, or You, Its about the City of Brandon, The people who live as well as visit here, And the people the industry services.
