The Manitoba government is running a deficit of $422 million. That’s on top of a debt of $33 billion. And many Manitobans are paying more taxes than people in other provinces.  
 
When facing big challenges, the question is always where to focus our efforts. That’s why we’d like to get your opinions. Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion with us.

I have personally seen many new updates/revamps to bridges, highways, etc. With all this new construction comes a lot of costs and I could definitely see us being in a deficit.

I agree. To make omlets you need to break eggs. Spend money to make money and all that jazz. But i think that the spending of funds be better planned out. Although not provincial i often see road crews working on the same spot of road year after year. Why not do it properly the first time? Maybe the province is doing the same thing?  
 
Maybe manitoba is headed in the direction of the recession that Ontario and other provinces had a few years back?

Think this is where I saw it, looks like they are going to close eastbound land, thus westbound will be two way traffic. To accommodate this, they are putting in the collision buffers on the west side of bridges and making new turning lanes. Does this pay, instead of the inconvenience of delays eastbound if kept open??
