A group of Atheist, in the Province of Quebec were incensed because of the religious holidays celebrated by the Jews and Christians. They contacted a Law Firm to inquire as to whether they could launch a Class Action suite because of the discrimination inflicted upon Atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Jews and Christians. They are given a holiday for these days, whereas Atheists have no holiday of their own to celebrate.  
 
When the case was brought before the Court a Judge listened to the long and passionate presentation by the Lawyer, but after he had finished the Judge banged his gavel and declared, “Case Dismissed!”  
 
The Lawyer immediately jumped to his feet and exclaimed, “I object to your ruling.” He continued, “Your Honour, how can you possibly dismiss this case” The Jews celebrate Passover, Yom Kipper, and Hanukkah, the Christians have days off work to celebrate Christmas day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Thanks Giving, and many other observances… yet my clients, the Atheists have no such holiday!”  
 
The Judge leaned forward in his chair and quietly said, “Obviously your clients are not knowledgeable enough, or even know about, much less celebrate their own Atheist ‘holiday!’ The Lawyer was puzzled, but pompously replied, “Your Honour, we are unaware of any such holiday for Atheists. Will your Honour please enlighten us, as to when this holiday might be?”  
 
The judge explained, “It comes every year on exactly on the same date, April first! Since our Calendar sets April first as ‘All Fools Day,’ we must consider Psalm 14:1, which states, “The fool says in his heart, there is no God.’ Thus, in my opinion, if your Class Action is based on the fact there is no God, then by scripture, the people you represent are fools, and therefore April First is their holiday! Now have a good day and leave my courtroom.
