This meant that the three men each paid $9 for the room, which is a total of $27 + $2 that the bellboy kept = $29.

you don't add the $2 to the $27 and get $29, you subtract it from $27 to get $25. each guy paid $9 and the bellboy kept two so $27-$2=$25 total cost for the room. i liked that one!

Each man paid $8.33 toward the room and $0.66 to the bellboy = each man spends $9 for a total of $27. Of that $27, the hotel gets a total of $25 and the bellboy gets $2
