choose only one invention (out of numerous ones) that you think is the most useful and has changed the way you used to do things. Something that when you look back you are wondering how you ever lived without them and how that invention was so revolutenary and made thing easy.  
Even you can add you reason or your story for that choice.  
 
- I name GPS. As I remembered few years ago when we were traveling and not having GPS, I was navigator and having my eyes on the map most of the time during trip, specially inside large cities. Every mistake could cost us several extra kilometers! Sometimes you could end up interesting place by surprise though!

Microwave...so much quicker for reheating leftovers than the oven on low. Lol.

the biggest one is the computer and internet  
 
when it first came out for the public i wasnt that into it but as more info got easier to find i cant live without it, including now gaining access with the smart phones and it has changed our lives dramatically  
 
I also agree that the microwave was a huge life changer too

And choose something new. Remember, You can not repeat something that another person has chosen. It can be very ordinary, and small but still very useful invention.

Qtips! Is that weird?! lol. I seriously think about that all the time, I HATE the feeling of water in my ears. Would drive me absolutely insane if I couldn't use Qtips on a daily basis. Sounds silly i know! lol

Cable TV. It wasn't always a commodity. After growing up with very few and sometimes fuzzy channels in Brandon that went off the air at 12 midnight at best, it was a really big thing when cable television came to Brandon.  
 
I remember after Hockey Night in Canada or Tommy Hunter finished and you'd get the 'Off the air' bullseye screen.  
 
From there, there was no choice but to read A - Z encyclopedias, do homework or read a favourite book while babysitting and sometimes propping the eyelids open with toothpicks while waiting for the householders to arrive home at 2-4 a.m.  
 
Yes. Cable TV.  
 
Then again, reading encyclopedias until your eyes bled or finishing a favourite book in silence wasn't always a bad thing.

I have always lived in a house that had hydro and indoor waterworks. Having listened to my mother who lived through times of no hydro and having to haul water is not an experience that I would want. Look how many complain on here when hydro goes out during a storm.  
 
As with others more modern would not want to live without microwave. Could live without cell phone but it has saved us a couple of times in case of medical emergencies.  
 
As far as GPS give me a good map. Twice tried to use GPS and it could not find farm location or got us lost in Winnipeg as roads around centre port were ripped up and no longer there and had not been changed with GPS. We relied on the GPS and had no map with us. Map may not have been changed either but at least we could have found a different route.

Its interesting to see what people consider a revolutionary invention. When I think of inventions, I think of electricity, the light bulb, electronics (tubes and transistors), TV and radio and telephone, the automobile, aircraft, batteries. In my lifetime (born in early 60's), I don't believe there's been an invention that's been "revolutionary" to the point I couldn't live without it. The big inventions were before my time.

Plus add my hand held hair dryer...I just dried my hair with mjne...lol

I would go with the computer too. Since most of my work is done with one. And cant think of going back to all that work by hand. But to go back even before my time. I would think there would be so many other things...like washing machine or car or plane! And then cant rule out life saving medicines like insulin or penicillin's. And glasses! Oh my...there are just so many.

Funny story when I was in Victoria recently. Had the use of a car rental and had no GPS in the car. Looking at a map in the back seat and it was so tiny. I tried to use my middle finger and thumb to enlarge it, you know the way you do on your phone. I started laughing, kids thought I was going crazy. If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at. Still makes me chuckle.
