So...here's the deal. I purchased tickets online for the Cavalia Odysseo show that is currently in Winnipeg. I won't say which site I purchased the tickets through but it seemed to be a very legit site. Anyways, I picked the seats that I wanted and, although they were pricey at $200 a piece, I figured that it would be worth it because they were front row and centre to the stage! The site emailed me my tickets about 30 minutes after I purchased the tickets and the seats were completely different from what I had picked out...they were in the nose bleed section at the very top I was still charged the same amount for not so great seats. The site is telling me that because the tickets were sold by a 3rd party that there is nothing they can do and refunds are not available so the bottom line is that the tickets were advertised as something that they were not...has this ever happened to anyone and what did you do? Thanks

Contact the third party directly, and ask why they were advertised at Price A in Spot A but when you got them found them to be Price A in Spot B.

is why I prefer to get my tickets directly from the original source instead of third party sources. Hope you can get things rectified.

The prices were in US dollars which was in very fine print on the site. I didn't notice this until I saw my credit card bill and the amount was almost double ugghh just sick about this....

And they said I have to wait 15 days before I can open a dispute claim..after that they will contact the seller and go from there

I think I know which site it is. Have you contacted the site directly? I have bought lots of sports tickets off them without problem. Possibly just a mix up? As for the US conversion should only be about an extra $80 right now not $200.  
 

Should have been charged $470 but it was charged $625 Hidden fees as well that I wasn't told about . There was a phone number for the site but it's all automated and you can't get through to talk to anyone. I have sent several emails to them but have gotten no response. All I have to say is buyer beware!!!! I got scammed and will never make this mistake again....

That the tickets I purchased were VIP and they included a meal, wine, a tour of the stables, etc... The tickets I recieved were in the nose bleed section at the top of the same section I know that you run the risk of paying over market value for tickets bought off of 3rd parties through these sites and I was ok with that. What I am not ok with is not recieving the tickets I thought that I was purchasing. I had no idea that this kind of thing actually could happen and it seems criminal to me. This person should be found and prosecuted....

Not exactly how I think of a scam. Most scammers take all your money and give you nothing. I realize you are probably upset that you didn't get what you ordered but without knowing all the details it may get fixed. Without knowing the site its hard to say. I've bought tickets through StubHub and had a screw up similar and it was fixed however they are difficult to get a hold of. As for the exchange rate, I wish it was only $70 on $400. You should of been charged around $550 Canadian on that amount with the current exchange rates and credit card fees. If you have everything documented if it is in fact a scam sometimes credit card companies can get your money back for you.

They advertised a particular ticket and sent me a different ticket of much less value for the same high price. There are lots of bad reviews online about this site as well that I didn't check until after the fact...my fault. I should have done more research on the site before I ordered live and learn....

If you do get your money back I would just buy off their official website. The most expensive VIP Premium tickets are $249 Canadian

That's the plan I should have done that in the first place...I was having a moment where my brain wasn't working properly and for some reason I couldn't find tickets at the official site when I bought the tickets....ugghhh

Awful! I feel sick for you

We recently got scammed almost $5000.00 for an online purchase which was initially made through a "trusted/seucured website" pffft. I called the authorities, they really don't help much tbh. So I took matters in my own hands, emailed and called said website, and called several other places, some international which now we have to pay the charges for those calls, not cheap and contacted our bank etc. IMO calling to report it to the local authorities is a waste of time.  
 
Still waiting to hear the outcome, but I know this is something we won't let go. Or do again!  
 
I don't understand how scammers can list items on "trusted" selling websites, and websites aren't at fault? Seems pretty unfair

That happened to you I can't believe how dishonest some people can be. I hope that you can get it all settled to work in your favor

You could contact your credit card company and see if they'll do a chargeback dispute (not sure if they still do them but it'd be worth a shot) . I've done it in the past and won because the product I received was not what was advertised. If you google chargeback dispute, lots of information comes up, each financial institution is different but it's worth a call to your credit card company!

keep trying to contact the site you bought them from, also your credit card company.. you didn't buy through paypal did you? They are also helpful with disputes.
